Dr. Roland Mikhail, MD, FRCP(C)

General and Interventional Cardiology

Dr. Roland Mikhail specializes in both General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.

He obtained his Medical Degree at the University of Montreal. He completed his Internal Medicine and General Cardiology training at Queen’s University in Kingston. He then pursued Subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology at the Montreal Heart Institute.

Dr. Mikhail practiced in Regina, Saskatchewan until 2010 and then moved to Windsor, where he has been happily practicing ever since. He performed interventional cardiology procedures up until 2022, and served as Medical Chief of Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology from 2012-2017.

Dr. Dhssraj Singh, MD, FACC

A native of Malaysia, Dr. Singh earned his medical degree from the National University of Ireland – Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) / Penang Medical College (PMC) program. His residency in internal medicine took place at the renowned Cleveland Clinic, followed by fellowships in cardiology, heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and Mid-America Cardiology at the University of Kansas and Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Singh is American Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Echocardiography.

A list of his scientific publications in the field of heart failure, chemotherapy-induced cardiomyopathy, cardiac transplantation, acute coronary syndrome, and valvular heart disease is available here.

In addition to English, Dr. Singh is also fluent in Malay and semi-fluent in Punjabi.

Dr. Jeffrey Anchan, MD, FRCPC

General Cardiology

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Dr. Anchan graduated medical school from the University of Calgary in 2009. Following that, he completed six years of residency in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the University of Saskatchewan.

Dr. Anchan holds certifications from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine (2015) and Cardiology (2017).

In 2020, Dr. Anchan made the move from Alberta to Windsor. Outside of the office, Dr. Anchan enjoys travelling, board games, watching movies, and is an avid reader. He also involves himself in animal welfare, church ministry, and sharing his expertise in his podcast, 10 Minute Time-Out.

Dr. Brian J. Hachey, MD, FRCPC

General and Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging

Dr. Brian J. Hachey is a Windsor, Ontario native specializing in General Cardiology and Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging.

Dr. Hachey completed his internal medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He then entered into a Cardiology fellowship in Chicago, where he served as chief cardiology fellow. Before his return to Windsor, he obtained level III echocardiography training through an additional echocardiography fellowship at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Hachey has obtained additional board certifications in nuclear cardiology, adult echocardiography, and cardiac CT. His clinical interests include preventive cardiology, valvular heart disease, heart failure, and coronary artery disease.

Dr. Dakshina Murthy, MD, FRCPC, FACC, FASE

Born in India, Dr. Murthy graduated medical school from Mysore Medical College where he also obtained his Post Graduate Internal Medicine training. He completed the latter at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, CT, where he also finished his Cardiology Fellowship. He did additional training in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Murthy has been practicing medicine since 1990 working as a Consultant Cardiologist for Indiana Heart Associates, at the WVU Medicine Heart and Vascular Institute in West Virginia, and then moving to Saskatchewan to work for the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region (now Saskatchewan Health Authority). He later became Director of Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging and Director of the Heart Function Clinic.

Dr. Murthy’s special recognitions include Certification in Cardiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Cardiology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is Board Certified in both Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the American College of Cardiology, and the American Society of Echocardiography.

Dr. Murthy came to Ontario to join the Windsor Heart Institute in August of 2023 and settled in LaSalle with his wife Poorrnima. He has two sons, Vignesh and Shravan.

His special interests include Preventive Cardiology, Congestive heart Failure and Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging.

Dr. Jonathan Toma, MD, MSc, FRCPC

Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Structural Heart Disease Intervention

Dr. Jonathan Toma was born in London, Ontario. He graduated from medical school at the University of Toronto in 2009 and has been practicing independently since 2019. Dr. Toma underwent internal medicine training at University of Toronto, Cardiology fellowship at Dalhousie University and Interventional Cardiology and sub-specialized Valvular Heart Disease training at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He additionally holds a Masters degree in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto and underwent a business and engineering training through the Biodesign Innovation Fellowship at Stanford University. Dr. Toma spends his time between clinical activities in the Toronto area and Windsor. He currently practices invasive coronary intervention and transcatheter aortic valve intervention at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket. In his role as a part of the Southlake TAVI team, he routinely performs transfemoral valve procedures and alternative access cases such as trans-carotid and trans-axillary TAVI. The team performs over 300 procedures annually with excellent technical results. He is able to provide his patients in his practice at the Windsor Heart Institute unique insights into the procedural process and follow-up, as well as timely access to these procedures. He currently represents the only dedicated TAVI operator with a clinical practice in the Windsor area.

He is proud to be a member of both the innovative interventional group at Southlake and the highly-dedicated clinical group at the Windsor Heart Institute. He has been regularly applying his practical knowledge of invasive interventional techniques to better serve the needs of his patients in Windsor.

In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, cycling, outdoor activities and reading.

Dr. Jane Philip, MD, Internal Medicine

Dr. Jane Philip completed her undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Biology in 2012, at Wayne State University (WSU). She went on to receive her medical degree from the WSU School of Medicine in 2016.

Dr. Philip pursued a residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (Med/Peds), allowing her to care for patients of every age. She completed her residency training at the Detroit Medical Center in 2020, and is dual board certified in both specialities. While undergoing medical training at WSU, she was involved in a number of volunteer medical organizations, as well as teaching and mentorship opportunities.

After graduation, Dr. Philip initially practiced Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in Michigan with Trinity Health. In 2023, she moved to practicing medicine in Windsor with her husband and has been with us since October 2024. She is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Paediatrics (Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry) and a staff pediatrician at Windsor Regional Hospital – Metropolitan campus.

Her areas of clinical interest are hyperlipidemia, hypertension (including resistant hypertension), and anemia.

In her free time, she enjoys being in nature (especially hiking and running), cooking/baking, and traveling with her husband.

Robert Butler, CEO

Robert was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland and comes from a long lineage of healthcare professionals.

He holds a Masters of Business Administration, from Schulich School of Business, with a double major in Strategic Management and International Business; a Post Grad Certificate in eCommerce from the University of New Brunswick; and a Bachelor of Commerce, from Saint Mary’s University, with a major in Marketing.

Robert was previously employed as the Executive Vice President of the Start-Up Visa Business Advisory Group at Immigration.ca and was the CEO of an early-stage retailer in Toronto.  In addition, he has held various executive positions at Indigo, was a Management Consultant at Arthur Andersen and Vice President of a Venture Capital/Merchant Bank that specialized in early-stage technology start-ups.

Robert has a reputation for developing and implementing highly efficient processes and leading high-performing teams to deliver outstanding results for customers/patients. He is dedicated to the idea of expanding access to cardiovascular care in the community, all the while ensuring that the patient experience remains exemplary.

Our staff are here to provide expert care throughout your heart health journey. From the moment you become a patient, we support you with appointment reminders and complete testing instructions to inform and guide you through each step.

All of our cardiovascular technologists and echocardiographers are trained and certified through an accredited program.

When it comes to education, we are proud to be a clinical training facility for students of Echocardiography, Cardiovascular technology, and Medical Office Associate programs offered throughout Ontario.
