Dr. George Wong
Dr. Wong was born in Hong Kong into a family of 7 and has been practicing medicine since 1971 He graduated medical school from Sydney University, Australia (The AUSSI-LAND, “down-under”) in 1971, and began his residency in Internal Medicine there. Dr. Wong moved to Canada in 1973, completing his residency through Hamilton Health Sciences and specialty in Cardiology through the University of Toronto. He settled in Windsor in 1977 and in 1993 moved to the USA to practice in Arizona and Utah for 16 years. During that time Dr. Wong did more training in Mexico and France specializing in pacemakers and defibrillators and doing research in the area of pacing products. He returned to Canada in 2009 and has practiced in the specialty of Cardiology here in Windsor since.
Dr. Wong is happily married with 6 children and 7 grandchildren. He has a passion for his work and continues to provide outstanding care to his patients. He has no desire to retire any time soon and is loved by his patients and respected by his colleagues. Beyond his kind nature and envied Cardiology experience, Dr. Wong is an amateur photographer and ardent skier with many items on his bucket list yet to be completed.
